The Name Means Everything
People always ask about the name. It sounds like a joke — “Katy Did It!” — and okay, sometimes it is. But mostly it’s a tribute. Katy was a woman who could walk into a grocery store, grab three bunches of whatever was on sale, and come home with something that looked like it belonged in a magazine. She made everything beautiful without trying. She was also our mom.
When we lost her in 2016, the thing we kept coming back to was flowers. Her garden. The way she smelled like gardenias every spring. The fact that she sent bouquets to people for no reason, just because she was thinking of them. So in 2018, her daughter — that’s me, Bridget — decided the best way to keep that going was to turn it into something real. Something you could walk into. Something with a door and a counter and refrigerators full of peonies.

From Hobby to Shop
Before Katy Did It existed, Bridget was doing flowers out of her garage in Beaverton, Oregon. A wedding here, a baby shower there, a neighbor’s anniversary that turned into a standing weekly order. By 2017, she was running out of garage space and — more importantly — excuses not to do this for real.
She found a small storefront on Cedar Hills Boulevard, painted the walls the color of sage, and put a single arrangement in the window: pale pink ranunculus, white sweet peas, and a few stems of her mom’s favorite — coral garden roses. The first customer who walked in bought it immediately. Bridget cried in the back room. Then she made another one.
Who We Are Today
In 2026, Katy Did It is a team of four: Bridget designs and sources, her sister Maya handles events and weddings, their friend Dani does deliveries and somehow also the bookkeeping, and there’s always at least one part-time helper whose job is mostly to keep the cooler organized and answer the phone cheerfully. It works.
The shop does custom arrangements, standing weekly orders, wedding florals, and sympathy work. That last one is close to all of our hearts for obvious reasons. We take it seriously.
Design Philosophy
Katy Did It arrangements lean loose and lush. Lots of movement. Petals that might fall. Stems that cross in ways that aren’t perfectly planned. We’re not interested in stiff, symmetrical, “it-looks-fake-it’s-so-perfect” florals. We want arrangements that look like they were just picked — a little wild, very alive.
Two signature arrangements people keep coming back for: The Cedar Hills Garden, a soft, overgrown mix of garden roses, sweet peas, astilbe, and trailing jasmine vine that looks like something out of an English country estate. And Katy’s Favorites, our rotating monthly arrangement built entirely around whatever Bridget imagines her mom would’ve loved right now — different every time, always coral roses somewhere in it.
Signature Style
Color palette: blush, ivory, dusty lavender, warm peach, and the occasional pop of rust or burgundy when the season calls for it. Textures we reach for constantly: ranunculus (always), anemones, poppies, scabiosa, trailing greenery. Flowers we’re genuinely obsessed with: peonies in spring, dahlias in fall, and sweet peas pretty much any time we can get them.
Sourcing & Sustainability
We buy from two farms in the Willamette Valley — Thornberry Fields outside McMinnville and Holloway Flower Farm near Newberg — for most of our seasonal stems. What we can’t source locally, we buy from importers we’ve vetted for fair labor practices. It’s not perfect. We’re honest about that. But every year we get a little closer to a supply chain that Katy would actually approve of.
Foam-free since day one. All our arrangements use chicken wire, pin frogs, or floral tape. Our paper and packaging is recycled or compostable. We reuse vessels when customers bring them back, which a surprising number do.
